Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner advises rapid completion of South Zone drinking water and underground sewage projects

Corporation Commissioner J Shravan Kumar conducted an advisory meeting with the TWAD officials and the Highways Department officials regarding the drinking water and underground sewerage projects, at the South Zone Corporation office.


Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner J Shravan Kumar conducted an advisory meeting with the TWAD officials and the Highways Department officials regarding drinking water and underground sewerage projects, at the South Zone Corporation office. The meeting was led by Corporation Deputy Commissioner S. Prasanna Ramasamy.



During the meeting, the Corporation Commissioner briefed the officials regarding the underground sewerage connection project at Kurichi and Kuniyamuthur areas. Further he spoke about the status of the drinking water projects in new areas and advised the authorities to complete the work rapidly. He also advised the officials to complete the construction of nine high-rise water storage tanks and the laying of primary pipelines quickly in order to open them for public use.

He further advised the authorities to hasten the underground sewerage pipeline and road maintenance projects at Kovaipudur and Sundakkamuthur and that the work be carried out without causing any hinderance to traffic and the public in the area.

The meeting was attended by the DistrictEngineer A. Lakshmanan, South Zone Assistant Commissioner T.R. Ravi, TWAD Supervising Engineer N. Murali, Executive Engineer Gnanvel, TWAD Advisor Sampath, TWAD board employees and engineers.
