Child marriage: Husband and minor's mother arrested in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: All women's police station in Perur arrested a minor girl's mother and the man the girl is married to. Last February, a 16-year-old girl got married at Patteeswarar temple in Perur.
With the girl getting pregnant, she was taken to the Government Primary Health Center in the locality where the doctors found she was just 16 years old.
Following this, they informed the social welfare authorities who filed a complaint with the police. Acting on the complaint, cops arrested the minor girls's mother and husband under the POCSO act.
