Tirupur: Electricity workers refused to accept the autopsied body of an electrocuted colleague.

Vivithan (31) from Tirupur BN Road, Anna Nagar, has been working as a contract worker with Tirupur Electricity Board for the last 10 years. He was electrocuted while working on an electric pole at a Tirupur sub-power station last evening.

They demanded an immediate probe and action on his death.They also insisted that the government should provide a job to one of his family members as a measure of immediate relief.
When questioned about this, the EB officials said compensation would be provided to Vivithan's family immediately and an eligible family member would be recommended for a government job.Authorities are negotiating with Vivithan's colleagues.
