Coimbatore: An advisory meeting was held by the newly appointed Valparai police inspector with local drivers' association members.
More than 100 minivans and tour vehicles are operated in Valparai. The newly-appointed Police Inspector of Valparai, Maheshwari, conducted an advisory meeting with the vehicle drivers, today.
During the meeting, she requested the drivers to operate their vehicles with properly renewed driving license and registration certificates for the vehicle, as per government rules. She also further requested them to provide information regarding new and/or suspicious persons visiting the area.
She also advised the drivers to always park their vehicles without causing hinderance to the general traffic. The president of the drivers' association insisted on provision of more parking space.
The meeting was attended by the Valparai Police Inspector Maheshwari, Sub Inspectors Sathish Kumar and Mujeeb,police department officials, drivers' association administrator Santhosh, and more than 100 drivers.
