204 pregnant women test Coronavirus positive in Chennai
Chennai: Of the patients admitted to Chennai government hospitals, 204 pregnant women have tested positive for COVID-19 infection. The tally of positive cases stood at 587 in Chennai yesterday carrying the overall total to 10,576.
Out of the total of 204 cases, 100 are in Egmore government hospital, 45 in Royapuram RSRM hospital, 30 in Kilpauk government hospital and 29 in Kasthurbai Gandhi hospital in Thiruvallikeni.
The government directive of subjecting pregnant women to COVID-19 testing 5 days prior to delivery date has been intensified.
