Pradeep Kumar (38) lived with his wife Kaveri and two sons in J.J. Nagar near Edayarpalayam. Pradeep Kumar was an alcoholic and this caused a great deal of confusion in the family. He used to have incessant arguments and disputes with his wife. Due to this, his wife had entered him into a rehabilitation center at Kovilpalayam.
Pradeep Kumar managed to escape from the rehabilitation center yesterday and reached home. A frustrated Kaveri chided her husband, which soon turned into a fullblown argument and this led Kaveri to call the Police control room.
The Thudiyalur police who arrived there warned and advised Pradeep Kumar. Since he was found in an inebriated state, they asked Kaveri to bring him to the police station in the morning. An infuriated Pradeep Kumar fought with his wife again which resulted in another call to the police. However, when the police arrived, Pradeep Kumar was missing.
Under these circumstances, passersby noticed a male hanging in a tree, this morning, in Edayarpalayam crematorium. Arriving at the scene, cops identified the corpse as Pradeep Kumar. The body was sent to Coimbatore Government Hospital for autopsy.
