Work commences for ₹7.25 crores worth roads to be laid under the Smart City scheme in Tirupur
Tirupur: Bhoomi Pooja ceremony for construction of roads under the Smart City scheme was held in Tirupur. Tirupur North MLA Vijayakumar inaugurated the construction of roads under the Smart City scheme at a cost of Rs.7.25 crores.
Many new projects are being undertaken in Tirupur under the Smart City Scheme. As part of this, the 60-feet road in Kannagi Nagar, near the Tirupur New Bus stand is all set to be strengthened and relaid at an estimated cost of Rs.7.25 crores.
The Bhoomi Pooja ceremony for the construction was held today. Tirupur North MLA Vijayakumar and former Minister and Tirupur District Party Secretary M.S.M. Anand presided over the event. Sweets were distributed to the public.
Corporation second division Deputy Commissioner Selvanayagam and AIADMK executives participated in the event.
