Chennai: The Tamilnadu Chief Haji Salauddin Ayub has informed that Ramadan will be celebrated all over Tamilnadu on Monday.
According to Islam observing Ramadan fasting is one of the five essential duties of a Musilm. Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset all through the month of Ramadan. On the 30th day when the crescent is visible Ramadan is celebrated.
This year the crescent was expected to be visible on Saturday, however since the crescent was not observed on Saturday, the Chief Haji has informed that Ramadan will be celebrated on Monday all over Tamilnadu.
