Police rescue abandoned baby girl in Tirupur
Tirupur: A just-born baby girl infant with a detached umbilical cord was found abandoned alongside the road in Periyar colony, Tirupur.
Upon seeing this, the public alerted the police before rushing the infant to a nearby hospital.
Arriving at the scene, police notified the Child Welfare Department following which the baby was admitted to Tirupur Government Hospital for treatment. The news of the deserted child caused a stir in the area.
