Police visit special flower show in Ooty Botanical Gardens
The Nilgiris: A special flower show was held at Ooty Botanical Gardens as a measure of relaxation and encouragement to the police who have been working relentlessly for more than 50 days due to the coronavirus threat.
As a result of the curfew, which is in effect from March 21 till date, cops are working nonstop to curb the crisis. Under these circumstances, a special flower show was organised at the Ooty Botanical Gardens for the police personnel.
The Police Department, led by Nilgiris District Superintendent of Police Sasi Mohan, enjoyed the relaxing flower show where more than one lakh flowers were on display.
The Department of Horticulture and park staff greeted the uniformed visitors enthusiastically. Over 1 lakh flowers of 150 varieties were displayed. Worthy of mention is a similar show arranged earlier for health workers, government employees and civil servants.
