Three leopard cubs found in Nilgiris
The Nilgiris: Three leopard cubs were found lying in Kozhikarai village near Ithalar, Nilgiris district. The Forest department has warned the villagers to be careful as the mother leopard may return to the spot anytime.
Kozhikarai village in the Ithalar region in Nilgiris District is surrounded by dense woods. On hearing mewling noises in the vicinity, the villagers traced the source of the sound to three leopard cubs lying in a bushy area. They snapped pictures of the newborn leopards in their cell phones.
Villagers have been urged by the Forest Department to be cautious as the mother leopard could return anytime in search of its younger ones.
