Firefighters captured a snake from an ATM centre in Coonoor
The Nilgiris: The public panicked seeing a snake inside an ATM centre near Sims Park in Coonoor.
The public saw a six-foot-long Indian rat snake (sarai) enter the Canara Bank ATM near the park. The public who were waiting in a long line for withdrawing cash fled screaming seeing the snake enter the ATM.
The Coonoor Fire Department was informed about this.
The firefighters rushed to the spot and captured the snake.
Subsequently, the snake was let free in a densely wooded area. The incident caused a stir in the Coonoor Sims Park area.
