With the addition of the 1,464 migrant workers ferried today, the tally of the travellers stands at 30,987.
Along with the District Administration, the Coimbatore Railway Station Director P. Sathish Saravanan, District Revenue Officer Ramadurai Murugan, South Tahsildar S.Arulmurugan, Deputy Tahsildar South Selvam, Revenue Inspector Coimbatore Town P. Kathiresan, Revenue Inspector Singanallur Rajendran, VAO Nagarajan, Deputy Tahsildar North Manivel and Head Surveyor Chandresekeran coordinated the necessary arrangements.
Many Muslim migrants are happy that they will reach their home towns and villages on time to celebrate Ramzan. This is the first Shramik train to West Bengal.
