Coimbatore: Dance artists conducted dance and drama promgrammes to raise awareness regarding COVID-19 at 10 different places in Coimbatore.

COVID-19 awareness and prevention measures are being undertaken in various ways, in the district. Initially, paintings were done on the roads and street shows were also conducted to let the people know about the do and don'ts during the coronavirus crisis.



In line with this, dance and drama artists conducted COVID-19 awareness programmes to raise awareness among the public at 10 different places in Coimbatore. Singanallur, Puliakulam, Ukkadam, Gandhipark, Poo Market, Ganapathy, Lakshmi Mills junction, Gandhipuram, Townhall and Sindhamani witnessed 100s of dance artists dancing and educating the public about the precautions to be followed in the times of a pandemic.

These shows were organised as per the orders of the Coimbatore District Police Commissioner with the intent of raising awareness among the public.



Even people going about their business stopped and stepped off from their vehicles to and watch the shows. The public cooperated with the police's request to maintain social distancing while watching them.
