Gudalur which is located close to Mudumalai experiences a lot of elephant movement witnessed a wild elephant attack. Chandran (43) of the Allur area injured in the incident while he went out for the morning rites.
People in the vicinity scared the elephant away by causing a din. Chandran was then taken to the Gudalur Government Hospital for treatment. Later, he was shifted to the Ooty Government Hospital for further treatment.
Forest Department workers who rushed to the spot are conducting further investigation.
