Police Inspector commends cops who worked tirelessly for making Ramanathapuram coronavirus free
Coimbatore: The district administration, police, health, corporation and various departments in the Coimbatore district have taken various preventive measures.
In order to prevent the spread of the disease, a series of vehicle inspections and various awareness campaigns were conducted at the Ramanathapuram police station. It has been reported that there is no spread of the disease in the area.
Similarly, 552 two-wheelers, 12-three-wheelers and 10 four-wheelers were also seized for violating curfew. Led by police inspector Murugesan, the police have joined hands with social activists have to provide food and groceries to the poor needy and marginalized workers since the curfew was announced.
Inspector Murugesan said he is proud to say that the Ramanathapuram Police station limits have been achieved the status of an infection-free zone and thanked the police and social activists who have worked tirelessly.
Marimuthu, one of the residents said, "the police, led by Ramanathapuram police inspector Murugesan, have taken various precautions to prevent the spread of coronavirus. They distributed 500 masks every day. Also, thousand food packets were dispersed daily on behalf of Ramanathapuram Police Station to the poor migrant workers and construction workers from Dharmapuri who live in the 80-feet road in Ramanathapuram." He added that they also provided groceries for their homes by following social distancing. Marimuthu said the police raised awareness on how diabetic patients should stay safe during the curfew.
He said various attempts by the police have resulted making the area completely virus free. He said, "it is a pleasure and privilege for us to congratulate the Police Inspector and the Police on behalf of the public in Ramanathapuram."
