Coimbatore: Developmental activities being undertaken in the South Zone of the Coimbatore Corporation were inspected in person by the Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer J. Shravan Kumar, today.
Corporation Deputy Commissioner Prasanna Ramasamy presided over the inspection.
The Corporation Commissioner inspected the construction work being undertaken for the new integrated bus stand at Vellalore in the South Zone of the Coimbatore Corporation. The new bus stand is being constructed over 61.62 acres at a cost of Rs.168 crores allotted from the Corporation General Fund.
Similarly the work being undertaken by the Tamilnadu Water Supply and Drainage Board (TWAD) in association with the Corporation for laying the underground sewage lines and drinking water supply lines at Kuniyamuthur and Kovaipudur within the South Zone were also inspected.
Further, the Smart City projects being undertaken at Muthannan Lake bund were also inspected by the Corporation Commissioner.
District Engineer A. Lakshmanan, Executive Engineer Gnanavel, Assistant Executive Engineers Sundararajan, Umadevi and other officials also participated in the inspection.
