Coimbatore: The total COVID 19 cases in Tamil Nadu has reached 13,191 after 743 people (660 in TN and 83 people who came from Maharastra) were tested positive for the infection on Wednesday.
Coimbatore: The total COVID 19 cases in Tamil Nadu has reached 13,191 after 743 people (660 in TN and 83 returnees from Maharastra) tested positive for the infection on Wednesday.
No new cases have been reported in Coimbatore, Nilgiris and Tirupur districts.
According to the State health bulletin, 3,60,068 samples have been sent for testing of which 13,191 have tested positive till date and 3,46,311 have tested negative. Testing of 566 samples are under process. Of the total samples, 16,275 are repeat ones.
A total of 5,882 COVID-19 positive patients have been treated and discharged till date. As of today, 7,219 active cases are under treatment.
The general public are advised to adhere to health advisories and travel advisories issued by the state Government. Public should follow the cough etiquette by covering their faces using handkerchief/towel while sneezing and coughing and wash their hands frequently with soap and water.
