Coimbatore: The Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer J. Shravan Kumar discussed the monsoon preparedness actions and COVID-19 preventive measures that need to be undertaken in the district.

In the meeting held at the Corporation Main office led by the Corporation Commissioner, discussions were held regarding monsoon preparedness. The meeting was led by the Corporation Deputy Commissioner S. Prasanna Ramasamy.
Speaking at the meeting the Corporation Commissioner said, "COVID-19 preventive measures and disinfection works must be undertaken vigilantly within the corporation. All roads must be maintained free of repairs. Preparedness must be exhibited to clear the debris of fallen trees, if any, on the roads, thereby enabling free flow of traffic on the roads during the monsoon rains."
Further he said, "Rain water harvesting structures must be maintained at offices, commercial complexes and homes and seamless distribution of drinking water must be ensured to the public. The concerned authorities must supervise these activities. Sanitation workers must undertake disease prevention measures carefully."
"COVID-19 preventive measures including social distancing and wearing face masks must be maintained without fail. Action must be taken to impose fines on those who violate the rules", he informed.
