Chennai Meteorological Center forecasts rainfall in 8 districts
Chennai: Chennai Meteorological Center said that the heat wave in Tamil Nadu may cause rainfall in districts. The Amphan storm in the Bay of Bengal caused rainfall in most northern districts of Tamil Nadu.
Chennai received rainfall last night and in places like Pammal thunderstorms were seen causing power outages. Rainfall was seen in Kanchipuram and and the adjoining areas too
Heavy rains lashed Kanchipuram-Chengalpattu road, Vandhavasi road, Uthramerur road, Chennai-Bangalore Highway, and Kanchipuram Thiruthani road.
According to the Chennai Meteorological department, it is likely to rain in eight districts of Coimbatore, Tirupur, Nilgiris, Kanyakumari, Virudhunagar, Theni, Dindigul and Thirunelveli. The sky will be cloudy in Chennai.
