Petition filed with the Tirupur District Collector for action against caste-abusers
Tirupur: A complaint has been lodged at the Tirupur District Collector's Office seeking action against the people who spew abuse on lower castes.
Loganathan (27) owns a goat that strayed into the farm of Moorthy (21) in Devampalayam village, Avinashi in Tirupur. It is alleged that, for this, Moorthy (21) and his relatives abused Loganathan and his family by calling out their caste in a derogatory manner and scorned them.
Allegedly, Loganathan and his family were forced to fall prostrate in front of the villagers and apologize.
A complaint has been lodged at the Tirupur district collector's office on behalf of the Caste Abolition Association as no action was taken after registering a case at the Avinashi police station.
