The lockdown that came into place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 has left the lives of many sections of the society stranded in a rocky situation. Under these circumstances, the fourth phase of the national lockdown has been extended until May 31.
While gyms have remained closed due to the nationwide lockdown for the past one and a half months, the gym owners in Tirupur petitioned the District Collector seeking permission to reopen the gyms.
They cited their livelihood has been severely affected due to the lockdown and sought permission to reopen the gyms. Further, they also requested they be provided with relief supplies until the gyms reopen.
