Police investigating robbery attempt in Tirupur ATM
Tirupur: Police are investigating an attempted robbery in an ATM in Tirupur. A Tata Indicash ATM Center is located in the Tirupur Kodikambam area with two cash withdrawal ATMs.
When the public in the area went to withdraw money from the ATMs, they found one of them broken open. Tirupur North Police received information about the burglary attempt. The police arrived at the scene and found that a machine was broken using an iron rod, but nothing was stolen.
The Axis Bank ATM in the vicinity was also inspected by police and found intact. As there is a TASMAC outlet in the locale, the police are investigating the angle that unidentified, inebriated men might have tried to break the ATM open.
