Woman ends her life in Mettupalayam following dispute with husband
Coimbatore: A woman committed suicide by consuming cow dung powder following a dispute with her husband. Selvaraj hails from Betthikuttai, Chittepalayam in Mettupalayam. He has been married for 6 years to Gangothri from Chamraj Nagar in Karnataka.
Allegedly, Gangothri restricted her husband from going out during the curfew, which was followed by an argument between the two. Depressed by this, Gangothri committed suicide by consuming cow dung powder.
Gangothri's mother Rajalakshmi lodged a complaint with the Sirumugai Police, who registered a case and sent Gangothri's body for autopsy. Her body was handed over to relatives after the autopsy.
