Coimbatore: TASMAC shop no. 7785 located in the Pookadai market area of Mettupalayam was broken into for stealing liquor. Police nabbed the thief in action.
Mahendran, a daily wage labourer from Thiruvalluvar Nagar area attempted to break into the TASMAC shop. A passerby, Vellingiri, observed this and informed the police.
Following this the police, arrived at the location immediately and caught him in the act. A case was filed and he was imprisoned.
A few days ago, TASMAC shop's roof was broken down in Chetti Veethi and the culprit who attempted the theft managed to escape. As a result of a slew of incidents such as these, additional protection is being provided to the TASMAC shops.
