Ayyalu Ganesh was employed as a traffic police at the Podanur police station. Earlier, in December of the last year he was suspended for attacking his wife and mother-in-law.
In this scenario, 20 days ago a student addicted to drugs was on his way to buy drugs when he was stopped by Ayyalu Ganesh and his friends. They snatched the Rs. 45,000 that he had and further demanded Rs.1 lakh from him.
Following this, the student complained to his parents. They complained at the Kuniyamuthur police station and the suspended traffic police Ayyalu Ganesh and six others are being investigated.
Three more people involved in this incident are reportedly under hiding. The Kuniyamuthur police are investigating the case.
