Field Inspection Committee comprising the Director of Department of Geology and Mining, A. Saravanavelraj, and SIDCO Managing Director, R. Gajalakshmi, led a review meeting with the officers at the Coimbatore Corporation's Main office regarding the preemptive measures being undertaken for the prevention of COVID-19.
Coimbatore: Field Inspection Committee comprising the Director of Department of Geology and Mining, A. Saravanavelraj, and SIDCO Managing Director, R. Gajalakshmi, led a review meeting with the officers at the Coimbatore Corporation's Main office regarding the preemptive measures being undertaken for the prevention of COVID-19.

The meeting was presided over by the Corporation Deputy Commissioner, S. Prasanna Ramasamy.
During the meeting, the Field Inspection Committee officers reported, "COVID-19 preventive actions are being led in war footing in Coimbatore.Containment zones in the district must be monitored and supply of essentials must be ensured. Further fumigation must be done three times a day in these areas. It must also be ensured that all those who are out on two and four wheelers must wear face masks."
They further said, "Crowds in shops must be monitored and controlled and social distancing must be insisted upon. All the zones must ensure that people maintain social distancing in the shops, on vehicles and in places where people gather in general. They must wear face masks too. This must be monitored by the respective authorities."
The Field Inspection Committee officers also said that migrant workers and those from other states must be monitored and isolated at their homes.
The review meeting was attended by the District Revenue Officer (Stamps), P. Gandhimathi, District Revenue Officer (Excise), M.S. Kalaivani, City Welfare Officer, Dr. Santhosh Kumar, Police Assistant Commissioner, Ramesh Babu, Deputy Superintendent of Police, N. Premanandhan, Deputy Director (Health), P. Aruna, PRO, R. Mathiazhagan, and other officials.
