Pothanur police station reopened after closedown due to corona infection


Coimbatore: Podanur and Kuniyamuthur police stations were reopened 18 days after being shut down due to coronavirus infection. A total of 7 were infected in the stations, which were closed on April 24 and shifted to adjacent areas. Eighteen days after, today, the police stations were reopened after sanitisation.

As a precautionary measure, the policemen working there are wearing masks and the public visiting the station are also advised to wear masks. Arrangements have been made for the public to use hand wash and sanitizers before entering the premises.
