Coimbatore: Tailors in the Valparai region were provided with relief supplies by the Tailors’ Association of Valparai, 105 tailors and their families benefited through this.
More than 100 tailors ply their business in Valparai. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, they have not been able to open their shops, which has affected their livelihood to a large extent.
In order to help these tailors, the Valparai Tailors’ Association provided 105 of them and their families with relief supplies including rice, pulses, groceries, oil and vegetables. They were presented with 12 kinds of vegetables by Krishnas Sudhir.
The event took place in the Anna Grounds where the relief supplies were presented by the Valparai Municipal Commissioner Paunraj, Tahsildar Raja and the City AIADMK City Secretary Mayil Ganesan.
The event was organised by the Valparai Tailors Association’s and was attended by Valparai Association President, Munusamy, Secretary, Karuppasamy, and Treasurer, Johnson.
The 105 tailors who received the relief supplies maintained social distancing while receiving the packages.
