"COVID-19: No new cases in Coimbatore, Tirupur and the Nilgiris; 716 cases in TN"

Coimbatore: Overall the State of Tamil Nadu has reported a whopping 716 positive COVID cases, on Tuesday. The total COVID cases in TN has increased to 8718.


Coimbatore: Overall the State of Tamil Nadu has recorded a whopping 716 positive COVID cases, on Tuesday. The total COVID cases in TN have increased to 8718.

No new cases have been reported in Coimbatore, Tirupur and the Nilgiris. (Coimbatore - 146; Tirupur - 114; Nilgiris - 14).

Chennai tops the list of COVID positive cases in the State. Of the 716 cases reported today, 510 cases were from Chennai. Till date, a staggering number of 4882 individuals have been affected due to COVID in Chennai.

With the extended lockdown drawing to a close on May 17, the surge in cases in Tamil Nadu has raised concerns amid people.
