Santosh, a resident of Kottaimedu in Coimbatore, who works in a meat shop in the area. He married his lover, a Muslim woman from Saibaba Colony, two days ago. Following this incident, her relatives have been in search of the girl.
In this scenario, Santhosh's friends including Vignesh have come to Kottaimedu in search of him. Coimbatore District DMK Youth Wing Organiser and a relative of the girl, Kottai Abbas, seems to have gone about enquiring about the whereabouts of the girl to Santhosh and his friends.
Following this, Santhosh Kumar lodged a complaint at the Ukkadam police station, stating that Abbas had attacked Vignesh and threatened to kill him. Subsequently, the police nabbed and investigated Kottai Abbas, and he was released later after an inquiry.
