Coimbatore: After the attack on three cows, another cow has been attacked and killed by leopards in Valparai.
The continuous attack on cows by leopards in Valparai has caused panic among the residents of Valparai. A cow that belongs to Vanaraj of the Karumalai Estate near Valparai has been missing after it went for grazing on Friday. Vanaraj and his friends were on the lookout for the cow. They received information regarding a dead cow in Tea Estate 11 on Karumalai Highway.
The three year old cow had been attacked by a leopard and killed.
Valparai Forest Ranger Prabhakaran inspected the site and sent the carcass of the cow for post mortem. The forest department has alsobeen gathering the details of the movement of leopards in the area. This incident has caused fear among the people of the area.
Previously three cows had been attacked by leopards and killed in the Manicka Estate area.
