Around 1140 migrant workers from Uttar Pradesh were sent home by a special train on Saturday evening from Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Train 06107, the third special train operated to send the migrant workers from Coimbatore to Uttar Pradesh departed from Coimbatore railway junction, on Saturday evening.

While two batches of migrant workers were already sent to Bihar on Friday evening and today morning, the third train boarding over 1000 migrant workers departed to UP, today.
Migrant workers from various places including Kinathukkadavu, Pollachi and Perur in the Coimbatore district, were given special train tickets by the Coimbatore district administration.

The police were engaged in checking the body temperatures of the passengers.

Food, soap and masks were provided to all those who boarded the train. The train with 22 compartments left at 8 PM, on Saturday.
