Review meeting held at the Coimbatore Corporation about coronavirus preventive measures
Coimbatore: The team comprising E. Saravanavelraj, Director, Geology and Mining, Chennai; R. Gajalakshmi, Managing Director, SIDCO, Chennai led by Corporation Commissioner, J Sravan Kumar reviewed the preventive measures in various wards.
Deputy Corporation Commissioner Prasanna Ramaswamy and officials were present at the meeting. In the meeting it was said, Coronavirus prevention work is being done on a war foot basis in Coimbatore. They added that 30 containment areas in 10 zones were continued to be monitored for infection in the district.
In addition, inspection camps were held for sanitary workers in containment areas and added that it was ensured that the public had access to essential supplies. The team comprising E. Saravanavelraj, Director, Geology and Mining, Chennai; R. Gajalakshmi, Managing Director, SIDCO, Chennai instructed that everyone should wear face masks and maintain social distancing. It was also advised to regularly spray disinfectant in public places.
The inspection was also attended by the District Revenue Officer (Stamps) P. Gandhimathi and District Revenue Officer (Excise) M.S. Kalaivani. Police Assistant Commissioner, Ramesh Babu, Assistant Police Superintendent N. Premanadan, Assistant Director (Health) P. Aruna, Town Welfare Officer Dr. Santhosh Kumar, Zonal Deputy Commissioners A.J. Senthil Kumar Rathinam(West), Mahesh Kanagaraj (Central), AJ Senthil Arasan, M. Selvan, PRO R. Mathialagan and others were also present.
