Two youngsters allegedly in an inebriated state attacked each other after a verbal war escalated into a scuffle. One man was killed in the quarrel. The Saravanampatti Police are investigating.
Coimbatore: In an alleged fit of rage, a 20-year-old youngster was stabbed to death by his room mate on Thursday in Coimbatore. The Saravanampatti are investigating the murder.
According to reports, Sivakumar (20) from Theni district has been working as a car driver in KRG Nagar in Coimbatore. His friend Manikandan (23) from Paladurai who works as a car mechanic, were staying together in a room in Saravanampatti, here.
On Thursday, Sivakumar allegedly slit his hands with a blade in memory of his lover. Seeing this, Manikandan had allegedly teased his bizarre action. The conversation reportedly ended up in a verbal war between the two and ended in an intense fight.
Manikandan reportedly had beaten up Sivakumar using dumbbells which killed him on the spot.
Preliminary investigation revealed that both Manikandan and Sivakumar were in an inebriated state.
Saravanampatti Police have registered a case and are investigating.
