Coimbatore: Two men sustained injuries after their two-wheeler met with an accident near Aathupalam here on Thursday. The Kuniamuthur police have filed a case.
According to reports, two men from Pollachi allegedly in an inebriated state were travelling in a two wheeler towards Coimbatore. When their vehicle reached near Kuniamuthur, they lost control and banged on the compound wall of Aathupalam electric crematorium.
Both were thrown off the vehicles in the accident. The onlookers rushed in rescue and sent them to Coimbatore GH for treatment. After 43 days of lockdown, the TASMAC shops were opened today and the accident due to drink and drive has sparked criticism.
