All seven COVID-19 affected policemen discharged; District Collector and Police Commissioner give them warm send off

Seven policemen diagnosed with COVID-19 have fully recovered from the illness and were discharged, today. The District Collector and City Police Commissioner gave a warm send off to the cops.


Coimbatore: All seven policemen who were tested positive for COVID-19 virus and were treated at PSG Hospital have fully recovered. The District Collector and the City Police Commissioner gave them a warm send off, today.



All the seven discharged policemen were presented with floral bouquet and a fruit basket.

Speaking to the press, District Collector, K Rajamani said, "Preventive measures are being carried effectively in the district. Out of the 146 people who were affected in Coimbatore, 141 patients, including the seven policemen have got fully recovered and discharged. Only one patient who suffered from existing medical conditions, passed away."

He further said, "All people entering the district from Chennai and Kerala are being monitored closely and only then allowed into the city. All members of the public must wear face masks and must adhere to the restrictions placed in order to stay safe. Any violators of lockdown will be dealt with", he warned.
