4th Division Battalion training for police personnel commence in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: The 15-day training for the police personnel selected for the 4th Division Battalion at the Police Training School commenced, today. 453 personnel from the districts of Coimbatore, Tirupur, Nilgiris, Salem, Erode and Namakkal are selected to serve in the fourth battalion division.
Out of the 453, 15-day training for 125 police personnel commenced today at the Coimbatore Police Training School. All COVID preventive measures including thermal screening, distribution of masks and sanitizers were carried out, prior to the training.
After the 15 days of training, the police personnel will be deployed in the districts of Coimbatore, Tirupur, Nilgiris, Salem, Erode and Namakkal, respectively.
While the 4th Battalion is usually trained for up to 6 months, it is noteworthy that currently only 15 days of training have been provided to the guards, due to the ongoing COVID threat.
