Four people have been tested positive for COVID-19 in Coimbatore on Sunday. The total number of infected patie ta has increased to 146. No new cases have been reported in Tirupur and the Nilgiris.
Coimbatore: Four people have been tested positive for COVID-19 in Coimbatore on Sunday. The total number of infected patients has increased to 146. No new cases have been reported in Tirupur and the Nilgiris.
Of the four, three belong to the same family and were tested for COVID after they requested to travel to Kerala. In a random testing, out of four people of the family, three were tested positive for COVID. Following which all their contacts ans neighbourhood has been isolated.
The family is from in Velandipalayam near Saibaba Colony. The health department has sought the help of the police department to trace their recent call list to ease contact tracing.
In another case, a 31-year-old pregnant woman from Karumbukadai has been tested postive for COVID. According to reports, the woman is an asymptomatic patient. She visited her doctor for routine medical check and was advised to take COVID test by the doctor as a matter of precaution.
Shockingly, her test results turned positive and was shifted to ESI hospital in Singanallur for treatment.
All four people who were tested positive underwent random tests and presented no symptoms.
