Coimbatore: The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Coimbatore, in a statement has thanked Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and the team of Ministers for the new guidelines to open offices and other establishments during the extended lockdown period, for two weeks from May 4, 2020.

Appreciating the government for the new guidelines during the lockdown period and the various measures taken to contain the spread of COVID-19 in all parts of the country, in green, orange, red and containment zones, ICCI has noted that these new guidelines will certainly help to contain the spread of COVID-19 and improve the living conditions of the people of our country.
Further, they thanked the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Edapadi K Palaniswami and the local Minister S.P. Velumani and the team of Ministers who took pains to bring Coimbatore to the orange zone. They also hoped that Coimbatore would soon reach the green zone.
Thanking the District Collector and the Commissioner of Coimbatore Corporation for their terrific work in controlling and containing the spread of COVID-19, they also applauded all the steps taken to help the citizens get their day-to-day needs, without any problem.
They also saluted all the warriors from all walks of life who extended their help of various kinds to feed the people and to take care of their welfare.
