Coimbatore: KG Denim Group has been distributing Rs 2 lakh worth of vegetables and food to over 6000 migrant workers at Jadayampalayam panchayat in Mettupalayam.
Overall Rs 25 lakh worth of welfare assistance on behalf of KG Group of Companies has been distributing in Mettupalayam and surrounding areas.
Chairman Balakrishnan of the group distributed the relief materials.
Fire engine of the company was also deployed to spray disinfectants in Sirumugai and also to transport relief materials for preparing food for the Taluk office employees.
The group has also planned to distribute face masks to the public. "Food and relief material distribution will continue until the lock down is revoked", the Chaiman told.
