Coimbatore: AIADMK members of Valparai town in Coimbatore district on Friday distributed financial assistance of Rs. 1000 to over 100 auto drivers, taxi drivers, porters and mechanics.
As labourers from different sections have been gravely affected due to COVID-19 lockdown, financial assistance to the affected people has become the need of the hour.
Valparai AIADMK Trade union head Ameed, District Secretary Mayil Ganesan, Pon Ganesh, Salaluddin, Narasappan, MRS Mohan, Palanisamy, Sasikumar and several others were present at the event.
