Coimbatore: No new COVID-19 cases have been reported today in Coimbatore, Tirupur and the Nilgiris. Overall 203 cases have been reported in Tamil Nadu, with 176 cases confirmed from Chennai, thus incressing the total to 1082.

So far, total of 2526 has been reported in the State. In a first, over 200 cases has been reported in the State. One COVID 19 person has deceased today, thus the total deceased count has increased to 28.
"In a day, 3200 people have been tested for COVID 19 in Chennai. Testing will be increased in the coming days. With 54% recovery rate, TN leads in the nation. Preparedness to safeguard pregnant women and high risk patients are being undertaken on war footing. Vitamin C and Zinc supplements are provided to frontline warriors", State Health Minister C Vijaya Baskar informed.
