Ashok Kumar (38), a worker from a village in Uttar Pradesh was employed at a bakery in Ellaipalayam Pirivu near Annur. He was working in the baking/ cooking section.
According to reports Ashok Kumar had been suffering from heart ailment for the past four years. He reportedly fell ill on Thursday morning and was admitted at a private hospital for treatment.
Not responding to the treatment, he passed away on Thursday. Following this, the bakery owner Karikalan informed Ashok Kumar's wife, Kumkum about the death of her husband
Upon her request, the body of her husband was planned to be transported to his home town in UP. Karikalan has reportedly spent Rs 1.25 lakh and arranged for an ambulance to transport the body.
As special permission is required to transport the body to another State, Karikalan approached the District Collector and filed a petition to grant emergency travel pass.
Meanwhile, the deceased's wife also requested permission from the District Collector of her hometown in UP requesting to permit her to receive the husband's mortal remains. Following which, the District Collector communicated the matter to the Coimbatore District Collector through email.
The District Collector here then granted permission to allow the body of Ashok Kumar to be transported to Parapangi Village, UP in the ambulance.
