Kavipriya (22) a resident of Ponne Kavundanpudur near Coimbatore Annur had earlier sold her anklet to help provide kabasura concoction to people in her locality.
She had done the deed along with members of the Indian Democratic Youths Association in Annur.
Kavipriya's noble deed was posted on the Indian Democratic Youth association's Facebook page. Seeing the post, Anwar, who runs a clothing store in the name of Arham Fashions near Tirupur Old Bus Stand, has contacted Balamurugan from Communist Party of India (CPI) in Dindigul in an attempt to help her.
Subsequently, Balamurugan contacted the Indian Democratic Youth Association in Annur and later Anwar had telephoned Kavipriya on the phone and sent Rs 2000 to her through a friend's bank account.
Anwar said he wished to help Kavipriya who sold her anklet to help people and hence had sent her Rs. 2000 as his small contribution.
He further added that people must help each other and extend humanity irrespective of caste and creed during a crisis such as this.
Kavipriya had lost her mother and was living with her father, and had studied only until 10th grade. She is working in a mill in the area and belongs to a very humble family.
