Coimbatore: The timely help by Perur Tahsildhar has helped a grieving woman pay her last rites to her mother who departed today in Coimbatore.
Stuck between lockdown panic and the news of her mother passing away, a 50-year-woman along with her husband was stranded at Perur not knowing how to reach to her mother's house in Raja Street, here. While they walked down to Perur checkpost, they were reportedly questioned by the police and stopped.
As the couple stood in distress, the Perur Circle Tahsildar, Radhakrishnan saw the couple crying near the police checkpost at around 4 PM. He enquired with them and found that the woman had not been able to reach to pay her last rites to her departed mother.
With no second thought, the Tahsildhar arranged for his driver to take his jeep and drop the couple at Rajastreet. Until, then then he patiently waited out till his jeep returned.
