The Nilgiris: With the tribals of the Thengumarahada village isolating themselves post covid-19 outbreak, Coonoor MLA Shanthi Ramu offered relief materials.
Around 18 different vegetables amounting to five tonnes in total were distributed to the villagers along with rice and other groceries. The village is situated deep inside the Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve, 40 kms away from mainland.
Shanthi Ramu also offered benefits to people near the Wellington Cantonment. As many as 1400 beneficiaries received the supplies.
At the event that took place near the Wellington Cantonment Chief Administrative Officer Pooja Balicha, Health Supervisor Radhakrishnan, Health Inspector Palanisamy and others took part.
