"From Sunday, all the corporation limit borders will be closed and 1200 police to be deployed in the city. Ambulance, people with medical emergencies will be allowed. Only medical shops will be allowed to function. After verifying the prescription, people will be allowed to to medical shops", informed Police Commissioner, Sumit Sharan on Friday.
In his statement, he informed that people from rural police limits will not be allowed to enter the corporation limits. Those venturing out deliberately, will be booked and remanded, vehicles will be seized, warmed the City Commissioner.
The statement comes after Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisamy on Friday apprised the people regarding the current status of COVID-19 in the State and the action plan for the upcoming days to combat the pandemic.
