Coimbatore: With over 106 COVID-19 patients fully recovered and discharged from Coimbatore's ESI hospital, the hospital administration have informed that the patients are being provided with nutritious meals, four times a day.
Coimbatore: With over 106 COVID-19 patients fully recovered and discharged from Coimbatore's ESI hospital, the hospital administration have informed that the patients are being provided with nutritious meals, four times a day.
As the impact of coronavirus pandemic is gradually increasing across all States in India, the Health Department in every district is undertaking various steps to reduce fatalities and provide state-of-the-art treatment for the affected patients.
"COVID-19 patients from the Nilgiris, Tirupur and Coimbatore districts are treated at the ESI hospital in Singanallur, here. They are been provided a balanced diet four times, a day. Every morning, the patients are provided with ginger and lemon concoction", informed Nirmala, Dean of ESI Hospital.
She added that starting with breakfast till dinner, all meals are served ontime. "After breakfast, at 11'o clock, a multi grain porridge is served, followed by a balanced diet with boiled egg and vegetables for lunch. We offer fruits, chickpeas, as snack in the evening and soup in the evening. For dinner, they are served Chappathi or Upma along with milk, upon request."
So far, 133 positive COVID cases are reported from Coimbatore district, 109 from Tirupur and 9 from the Nilgiris district. All the patients are treated at ESI hospital and over 106 patients have so far, been discharged.
