Coimbatore: Following the repeated requests by the meat associations and the public, the District Collector has granted permission for meat shops to operate from today, April 23, 2020.
In his order, Collector K Rajamani has reitrated that meat shops owners hould take up the responsibility to maintain social distancing at their shops and any violation will lead to closure of the shop.
Shops that violate the lock down norms by not maintaining social distancing and keeping their shops open after 1 pm will be sealed, the Collector warned.
